Clicking In Driver Rear Axle
So I've got some clicking in the drivers side rear axle that is mostly in reverse. Both of the boots are cracked as well.
Time for a new axle? Anything I can do to prolong the life of the axle? Should I be worried about driving it? I'm not driving it a lot, maybe a 100-150 miles a week. I just haven't had the extra cash to get it fixed. Thanks very much for any input!

while your axles sound like they need a reboot, I'd look further to pinpoint the clicking.
reverse is usually the only time a bad axle does NOT click... look over the swaybar links, and the emergency brake system for the click too.

Thanks VStech! Hopefully that's better news than replacing an axle! I would much rather reboot than replace as well, as these are the OG MB axles.
My pops had said something to me about it might have something to do with the braking system. Cool! Thanks!
