Oh if we are going to go for bonus diesels....
three suburbans with 6.2,
one chebby one ton pickum up with 6.2
one ford one ton van with 6.9 and a doug nash od
and the best diesel of them all my current squeeze, the 03 dodge 2500 with cummins and six speed manual.

oh and if we are going to list the year and model of benz....

My first, a 61 220b was bought in Brussells Belgium in 73 black
then a 62 190c when I got home in 74, ivory
60 220s organ donor
then a 220d bought in about 1985 powder blue
76 300d powder blue
82 240d maroon
83 300d mangenese brown
82 300TD ivory
83 240d tan
83 240d maple yellow
82 240d ivory
82 240d maroon
82 240d maple yellow
83 240d ivory (this one I bought with a blown engine and an automatic tranny. I decided to build the ultimate 240d and so found an 83 300d euro non turbo with four speed and rebuilt that motor and put the drivetrain in the car. Then I installed a 307 diff in the back. In that form it got 30 mpg. After about four years I sold it off, then about two years later bought it back with the body totalled and rebuilt it and started driving it agiain.)( second verse....I put the fiver in this and now it gets 35 mpg with total regularity driving 75 mph highway. It drives very very sweetly). still have
83 300d euro organ donor silver
79 280e silver parts car
82 280e light blue metallic
67 200d brown
82 240d white
83 300TD gold
83 240d blue
84 280e euro five speed, white, I drove this for a couple of years then sold it off. About eight or ten years later I bought it back after it had been in a flood and put it in service as an autocrosser. after a year of that I decided to put the fiver in the ultimate 240d mentioned above.) still have74 240d. I bought this one with a blown motor and had it rebuilt, then my lovely daughter #3 filled it with gas and melted it down. I then bought a 76 300d and put the motor and tranny in the 240 and we drove it for about four years more then sold it along.
76 300d organ donor light grey with cloth seats
92 260e, red
91 300d, white
85 300sd, silver
82 300 cd, navy still have
84 500SEC, silver (aka the silver bullet)
91 350 sdl, black
85 300 sd, mangenese brown still have

since my 82 300cd and my 83 240/300 are both getting pretty rusty I am seriously thinking of putting the motor and four speed manual from the 300cd into the 85 300sd.

I may have forgotten one or two.

My favorite machinist's son, Todd said it best a few years back...he said "Tom's ate up with mercedes"

I gotta know, are you neighbors with Jay Lino? how do you keep up with all those cars? Do you own a parking garage, a staff of mechanics, and parking attendants? I owned 6 cars at once and felt like i was neglecting proper maintenance.

I have three right now.....two are diesel......I have had one other W116 that was really nothing more than a parts car I stripped as it was rusted beyond economically viable repair, I still have the entire drive line for that one.. That was a turbodiesel as well.
