i have a 77 240d i just got, great shape 480k miles, but new motor at 435k. the only issue since ive gotten it were a few throttle linkages and the cruise control

i got a "new" cruise control box, the one that goes on the left wheel well.

i sent some images, i think i am missing a piece or linkage on the valve cover where im pointing. if someone has a 123 with cruise intact, if you could please send an image or let me know what im missing would be greatly appreciated

also, the big black vaccum line under drivers dash is just a vent, correct? it should be a dead end?

the one photo is what my cruise looked like, its the vaccum unit, i think in the early 80s they changed the style to electronic. just ignore the gm cruise control literally tied into there.
