Wiper Motor Replacement DIY
Has anyone done a DIY on wiper motor replcament on a W126? I have to replace mine but I'm now only working with 1 arm, I don't want to have to redo the process. I have the Wiper Motor Assembly from my parts car and have tested in (with a friends help) in my car. The problem is my wipers don't park or have an intermittant. Intermittant = low speed pos I
and low speed pos II = low speed, and High Speed = high speed. I replaced the controller relay and also replaced the multi punction switch which is why I tested the parts car wiper assembly which works. I did not pull the wiper motor assembly someone else did which is why I would like to read a DIY if possible. If not available I will attempt one. Thank you

Try this
My car is a 1991 300d, different than yours, and a mono arm. It's having a hard time going across the windshield if it's dry.
I read that the grease in them get old after a while, and if you continue to run it that way, ultimately the motor gets burned out. So at least for my wiper, I have to get the old dry grease out, put new in, and replace the wiper assembly. Don't know if that is part of your problem or not. Good luck. |
