I've never had to borrow any car other than my wife's for about 2 days when I had to replace my transmission 2.5 years ago. The SD has a 99.8% availability record at this point. The only time I've driven any of the others is testing them after a repair, same as the dealer would do. Few cars I know of can cover 106k without breaking down, ever. As for a rental car, I could bike to a Hertz/Enterprise facility in about 6-8 mins from my house. Easy. Or take the bus. All available options where I live.
