WTB: W116/OM617 air cleaner mounting bracket
 

Have searched and learned that this is a common failure point on our beasts (one attempt to fix the weak design here) but what I haven't found is a source for getting a good/repairable bracket to work with (both ears are broken off mine).

Was at the local dealer today to pick up injector fuel return hose, and asked about the bracket...... $192. That ain't happening.

Other than tearing through the local pick n' pull in hopes of finding one intact..... any other options?

Have you clicked on Buy Parts on the top of this page? They even sell a reinforced model for the 123's. I assume the 116 has a similar bracket.

Dont see them here but otto house arizona has the reinforced model for $34.

If it's the same as the bracket on the OM617 in the w123s, I have one that you can have on Saturday.

Kerry, I did check here - air cleaner bracket for the 78 300SD returns a "not stocked" status.
