I think we are dealing with a Euro "M" pump

It is not the MW then. A regular socket will do nothing. It takes a splined device. There is not a 13 mm hold down for each fitting. There seems to be one per two fittings and they appear to be locking devices to keep the splined fitting from spinning.

Thanks guys!

A. When the ULSD first appearred, several members with Euro pumps reported leaks like this. I remember that there was a thread at the time which detailed the seal replacement procedure, step by step, including the torque values. Perhaps searching on the word "splined" would bring up one or more DIY's on this.

2. Several of the splined sockets are listed as being available in the tool rental program.

III. A friend of mine used to work for a Bosch fuel injection shop. When my Euro 240D came down with these leaks, he took it into their shop and their guys fixed it in about an hour. As I recall, it might have cost me a bottle of vodka. Point is, a Bosch shop will be familiar with this, and will have the tools and parts. They can probably fix it in no time for minimal cost.

Doing the seals (O rings & copper sealing ring) on our M pumps is a little more of a job because of the socket you need and the torquing procedure but shouldn't be too big of a deal compared to the MW pumps. I did a couple of those and have the socket and seals ready when my Euro pumps start to leak Sounds like Roy will fix you up, Good Luck

Apparently there are numerous pumps out there so Roy has asked me to send him pictures and or the numbers off the plate on the side of the IP. So that is the next step.

Thanks everybody!

I need to keep track of this thread, because, like I said, I may be next, The US spic 240 was pretty easy tho. I have not used that locking pin for timing the M pump either.

I still need pictures of this pump for verification.

IF its a 'Euro' car, it theoretically will have an 'M' pump.

Ive had issues over the years with seals and lift-pumps/primers leaking...

For the del-valve 'O' rings, a splined-tool is needed. Sure there's write-ups for OM.60x engine 'M' pump del.valve seal replacement--Follow one of those, --same basic pump...

For the lift-pumps there's 'O' rings under each of the pipe-fittings that can leak as well as the primer itself....
--Pretty straightforward those are though....

Once in possession of the fabled splined tool the installation of the o rings and copper rings was pretty straightforward.

Thanks everybody!
