Vacuum line question: 78 300SD
Line from the vacuum pump to the output side of the air cleaner:
End at the air cleaner is sitting loose in a hole at the air cleaner end (no seal) - air cleaner end from EPC: Guessing I need to buy item 59 (A 617 238 00 80 Gasket Vacuum Line to Muffler Filter). Can I get a confirmation or correction on this? Also - what is the function of this vacuum line, and what difference should expect once there is an actual seal at the air cleaner end?

Quote:
It is desirable to have it sealed but you won't notice any difference in how your vacuum system works.

You're sucking a small amount of unfiltered air into your turbo as it stands.
