What part goes here?

I've searched on fastlane but I can't seem to identify this small plastic piece that is connected to the end of the throttle cable on 617 engines. The 300GD is desperately in need of one to get the idle position correct.

(It would be located on top of the engine about where vice grips are currently holding the wire.) Any ideas what it is called or if it has a part number?

Thanks, you're the man! (Teresa Agrees )

haha the freight is WAY more then the part itself and there is no USPS option. I'll see if I can pick it up at the dealer tomorrow (need to go there to pick up a temp sensor anyways)

Good thread.

So I take it they don't sell just the plastic piece (Typical dealer nonsense....)

I'll give Roy a call tomorrow and see if he can stick the part in an envelope and mail it to me.

Alright I got the plastic piece from the throttle cable in last night and it worked like a charm (Easiest repair ever! )

Unfortunately the W460 has thrown me another mystery part that i'm having trouble finding on any Mercedes parts site G-specific or otherwise. It's a small plastic piece that prevents the shifter handle from spinning around in circles and it's stripped as the previous dumb-ass owner had the shifter column on backwards. (gee I wonder why my hand keeps hitting the dash every-time I go into 1st or 3rd ) Something this simple should be common to other manual Mercedes but I can't locate the part or anything similar on fast lane for any W123 or W116 model. The transmission code is 711.
