Part of the carpet on the driver's side closest to the door feels slightly damp after it rains/I get a car wash. Wondering if anyone has ever had a leak in this area and if so, what did it stem from?

I've found windshield seal leaks can run down the e-brake pedal and drip there. You might want to take a close look down where the windshield meets the dash after a good rain. On mine I can actually see the water weeping past the seal.

Windshield seal is my first guess as well. Might also make sure you don't have any rusted holes in the hood hinge area, or the empty space behind the wheel well that is covered by the plastic cover in the wheel well.

I had similar leaks until I had the windshield replaced.
