glow plugs/wires
Hi,
OK, Ill try to make this the last question of the day, I know Im flooding the forum with questions, but I find it very interesting, and have a million of them. I want to replace the glow plugs/wires. What is the best bet for glow plugs? Ive seen bosch ones, and usually buy a lot of bosch stuff, however, I understand its better to use OEM for these cars. Also, what type of wires should I get for the glow plugs if I wanted to replace them too? Thanks so much for all the helpo Ive gotten. JMH |

Bosch GP are usually OEM but some times BERU are OEM. Either are accectable replacements. Just don't use Champion is the consenus on this board.
Why do you want to replace the GP? They are not a maintenence item like spark plugs. I wouldn't even consider replacing a GP until it goes bad. I carry a spary and one goes bad, I just replace that one. If your car starts OK, it doesn't need new GP or wires. Why do you want to replace the wires? They should last the life of the car. If you still want to replace them, why not get the compete cable assembly from Fastlane or if not available there get it from MB dealer. P E H |
