Its good for stripping paint.
Try mixing it with some dry swimming pool chlorine (hypo) & stand back !! takes a minute or 2.

California

Here in California they pick it and any other fluids up on trash day.
Just set the jugs down on the curb and then
they give you new empty ones for the next time.

Better than sending it down the street to the river.
I'm in the middle of the city and can catch trout & salmon 1 mile from my house.

I dump my brake fluid in with my used engine oil. I have about 6 2 gallon containers for the used oil. when they get full I go to the County dump and drain it into their tanks.

It seems like I read somewhere not to pour brake fluid or antifreeze into oil that was to be recycled. I think it spoils the whole batch of oil.

That said it might not be a big deal because I understand that most "recycled" oil simply gets burned in large marine diesels.

One of my local auto parts stores accepts recycled oil but forbids mixing it with brake fluid or antifreeze. They ask rather pointedly every time I drop off a container if it's mixed with anything.

One store I go to stopped accepting used oil entirely because they had one contaminated batch that cost them a lot of money to get rid of, so I try to follow the rules. I would hate to lose my ability to do my own oil changes due to a lack of places willing to dispose of the oil.
