Eco Glue attaching Hood Pad

Just wanted to share the info that using this water soluble glue to attach the hood pad on my 240d worked great so far, it's been on for months and I only used one bottle. I don't work for this company.

UH..... the inside of your engine compartment never gets wet ?
Some things like that will even let go just from not being inside a building... like liquid nails.... which I used on plywood in a carport...
I suggest the contact cement 8090 by 3 M which is well documented to withstand BOTH the heat and water....

3M it is

I prefer the 3M spray glue can't be beat for ease of application either. Cheers Dan

I prefer to use the regular ole amazon destroying, environment polluting, death grip 3M stuff.

So, in other words, you want it to hold the pad against the hood for a long time by resisting the heat under the hood and moisture in the air using something available at a local auto store ?

Why yes, yes I would.

Hood Pad

Just received a new insulated hood pad for my 78 300cd. Which side do I apply the glue. The foam side or the felt side? Thanks

charmalu 09-06-2013 12:50 AM

Glue goes on the Foam side.
