Here is what my engine and injectors sound like on 1995 E300D
Does anyone think that I may be just wasting my time taking the injectors out and doing a "Pop Tester" on them? Will they show wear or anything else that would say definitely swap them out? Im not sure what the other previous owners did. Who knows if these were replaced a year ago, just dont know.
Do these engines require the valve clearances be checked on a regular basis? The engine sounds loud and clangy at idle also. Im not sure what is best right now just trying to write things off. Right now after college tuition payments etc an extra $500 is hard to come by! For some reason the website wont let me attach a file AGH! /Users/jmbeam/Desktop/IMG_0349.MOV |

2. No you do not need to do anything to valves, you have hydrolic lifters, they do wear out though. That might be why you have a loud clanky idle. |
