Blowing coolant after test drive.

So I take the 300d out for it's first test drive and I appears I'm blowing coolant from multiple locations. One is near the rear of the head and it may be a loose hose or clamp but everything looked and felt tight. It also appears that I'm loosing coolant up front Upper and lower hoses ar tight so I hope the new Bear Rad tanks are not leaking.

So the big question is could my head gasket be blown or would coolant just be puking out the Overflow bottle if that's the case.

Any tips and tricks to getting the rear hoses to seal up nice and tight. If the steel tubes are leaking I'll fix the pin holes with some high quality solider until I can find suitable replacements.

Thanks

New Hoses would seal better than old ones.

However, it does sound more like you have a Head Gasket or something Cracked issue.

Did it seam like it was overheating?

Or, is it possible there is some passageway in the Cooling System Blocked (remove the Thermostat and run the Engine and see if it still gushes out)?

I'll try tp pull the T-stat if I can't seem to find the leak. I was trying to flush the coolant system with 80% water and some citraflush. The car does not seem to overheat and did not even after loosing most of the coolant. This is the first time I've run it more than around the block so I'm going to check all the hoses and re-fill with water and see what happens tonight if I get home before dark.I reall hope it's not a headgasket or a crack someplace. I just replaced the engine with a suposed good one. It runs great. A bit of shift flare but I'll get that dialed in later.

Well found the leak after a through clean up of the garage. The weld that connects the steel pipe on the firewall cracked to it's bracket. I don't think it's repairable so now it's time to find out how much it's going to cost to replace. I might just use a piece of copper pipe and be done with it if it's two costly.

So I know when I call around tomorrow. What is the pipe called and does anyone have a PN for it.

Thanks
