The guys hauling trash used to use the gas/dump version of those to do the pick up in my home town. They would come hauling up the driveway, spin around, pick up a load and head back to the "mother ship" waiting up the street. They would dump there and head back out to another couple houses.

They seemed to scoot along pretty well in town.

I haven`t seen one of those in years. I remember the U.S. postal service had them back in the 50`s for mail delivery when we lived in South San Francisco. they were gassers.

Take your life in your hands on the freeways getting through San Jose, with 3, 4 and 5 lanes or more with traffic moving along 70+ on a good day.

That would be a good little puddle jumper whiel driving "IN" the PNP yard with your tools.

I think it's a riot. I live in what used to be a town, grown into a 'burb, and it would be just the thing for weekend errands.

Yeah, you're not getting on the freeway with it. These were in-town type vehicles. But they'll haul half a ton at 45 mph or so, as I recall.

That's the first diesel one I've seen. It looks like it has "roll prevention" with skids (unlike the Robin). I'd put some flint on those so they spark around corners and keep the thing on two wheels as long as possible.
