500K Old Style Mileage Badge

Here is what I am looking for:

VINTAGE MERCEDES GRILLE BADGE EMBLEM 500,000 Km 500,00km | eBay

If anyone has one they would part with I am very interested. But not at such an exorbitant price as the one on Ebay.

I will also post this in wanted parts but I don't know if people regularly check that section.

Thanks

Has the style changed?

Here is what w123er said on my other post in the WTB parts section:

This site adds a redirect URL to the beginning of eBay links which breaks them. Search for item number 290566985113 on eBay to find the ridiculously overpriced badge.

I guess there is no way to link directly to EBay.

actually, there is no redirect, it's just that ebay has such LONG auction addresses that just pasting the link into the reply window messes it up.
you have to create a link, and paste into the link section...
like I did

You can use a tiny url service such as TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL to shorten the link. I think there are several of them around on the web.

... sorry, I meant to say, use the url link button in the reply form here on the site...
looks like a globe with a chain link in front of it, kinda like an infinity symbol...

Looks like the one I just bought for my 300D at my mercedes club shop. I will have a closer look tomorrow. About 25 bucks if I recall.

Thanks...I would really like to get one of the older style 500K badges.

Wow, too bad they're so expensive, I'd like to get the old style 500K as well. Here's a picture of my 240D's two badges... I got the old style 250K badge shortly after buying the car in 2004 (it had 270K miles on the odometer at that time), and the new style 500K badge two or three years later. As you can see, the old style is much more durable! I think that when my "new" 300D earns its 250K badge, I'm going to ask for a replacement 500K badge for the 240D as well, and have them both clearcoated.

Grill Badges

The one I bought at the mercedes club store is the same. It was 15 euro if I recall. The store is open Saturdays only. If you want one, send me a PM and I'll try this weekend to pick up a few. Figure about $30 US including shipping.
