I avoid IP's like the plague...

I do have a Bosch IP book... but it is way over my head....

I am just trying to get you to post enough specifics...like the numbers on your IP , etc..

so the people on the forum who DO know about these things can possibly help you....

Greg

PS. I sent you a PM.....

And on the IP? - as you've changed it it might be worthwhile seeing if it is compatible(!)...

The numbers will be on the side of the IP - see this thread for example =>

Papa's got a brand new om617 IP to play with!

I'm sorry but you are going to have to do some cleaning to see these information tags.

It looks that with injector connected to IP and firing on 24 * is not correct technic (and what is very probably my bad idea). Tomorrow i will wait to come fluid from valve on 24* and then proceed with fine adjustment.

The number in bold is the important one.

According to the factory service manual (FSM) for a W123 (non turbo information) your pump is a M/RSF pump (like my 5 cylinder version) - it was fitted to W123s that were built from November 1980 and were fitted to the 616.912 engines.

As I've only got the W123 manual I can't check to see if this pump was ever fitted to the 616.939 engine - but don't worry it will probably won't cause any unforeseen hitches...

As a matter of interest what type of pump have you just removed?

Please note I didn't write the thread to which you refer! I just pointed it out to you...

When you removed the old pump and you got hold of the new one =>

How did you fit it?

Did you by any chance just bolt it on?
