puddle of clear fluid from front of my 87TD...
certainly not motor oil, didn't smell like brake fluid or Diesel... only leaked like a pint or so in a puddle, but it looked like I was leaving a trail.
walking to my car this morning... rear sagging... CRUD! yup. reservoir empty... I've got a leak up front somewhere I gotta find.

I've just got my 84 300TD running. What kind of fluid is that that goes in the SLS?

Febi suspension fluid or AeroShell 4 aviation hydraulic fluid. I think there are a couple other substitutions people have identified. It has to be a mineral oil based fluid. ATF and similar fluids will reportedly eat the seals.

ISO 46 is a functional replacement,
but the recommended fluid is MB SLS fluid... FEBI fluid is the same exact without the star on the bottle.
