Dallas 300TD
 

I found this car on Autotrader today:

I e-mailed the owner and she's in Dallas. Supposedly it is in very good condition with only a few minor cracks in the dash. Don't know about the maintenance history though.

Any of you Dallas residents willing to check it out for me?

More info:

Apparently the A/C is not working right now. No indication what is wrong. How hard is it to work on this system?

She has all the maintenance records and evidently everything else is in good health. No major service has been done on the car.

Set aside between $500 and $1000 to make the a/c work - this is with you supplying the labor and taking it to an automotive a/c shop to charge it upon completion of the work (compressor, dryer and possibly a pushbutton unit).

I guess I could take a look at it next week end after 5:00-6:00pm on Friday or Saturday.

Capt Kirk, As per your request I have wired money to the closest Western Union for the car, don't tell Scott we decided to buy it in stead of just ' checking it out' , he seems like a trusting sort of guy... Greg

The owner live in a neighborhood called Garrett Park just North East of downtown Dallas.

Apparently the a/c compressor operates, but usually doesn't blow much cold air. Sometimes it will put out a little after a while.

Saturday I guess would work better, I could even go on Friday but the time limit would be the same.

I can probably get to it one day this week. If you will email the contact information, I'll try to do it as soon in the week as I can. I'm really buried at work right now getting ready for a worldwide promotional tour we're doing. I only have three more weeks to prepare, but I can probably go in mid morning or early afternoon when the traffic is light and fit it into my schedule.
