Do you have a Car Quest near you? They have access to the same Worldpac distribution system. That's what I've been doing recently when I need a part within a day.

... NO WAY! the original primary fuel filter was CRIMPED on!???
I've never seen any filter put on that way. if you look to the right of the primary filter, the little fuel line has standard fuel line screw clamp on it. be sure and get that type, not the worm gear clamp, you don't want the fuel line getting chewed up!

that's in amazing condition. wow.
I'm going to merge your two posts for continuity.

nope

Napa didn't have it on hand.. and nothing closer than 50 miles away.

Oh well. going to work for 8 days. I'll have a box waiting for me when I get home. I like giving phil the business. They do pay for this site.

I was wondering, "How in the world can he know THAT." Then I looked at my three cars....all have a different pattern (the MB Tex pattern).

Do you have documentation to support the 28K mileage? 28K miles for a 20 years old car is exceptionally low. 1400 miles per year? I can do more than that by going to the grocery store only per year.

My car with 300K has a cleaner IP area than what is in the picture.

the IP looks like it's developed a minor leak from a rattled loose screw. EVERYTHING else in the pictures verifies 28K!!! I've seen a LOT of 124's and that car is legit. look at the condition of the rubber and plastic in the engine compartment. look at the SPARE TIRE!!!
the ash tray sticker still present? I'd love a wide angle shot of the engine bay, and some shots of the underside of the car.

The engine bay was unreal. I took one look at the head and just laughed.. I knew it was new.

I will write or call the previous owner and see about records. I did notice that little IP leak. The injector return lines were really leaking on the way home, and had been for a bit. The belly showed that accordingly.

No comments on the lack of a pin in the 1 thru 8 device that controls idle?

Leather.. I knew the dogs weren't going to ride in it!

I'll keep my SD for them to ride in.

This car will get B100.. but it won't get any mods to run fuel longer, or have the preheater put in it.. as it will be stored winters like previously.

You did not buy it from the owner? You bought from a dealer/flipper? I am always skeptical when it comes to low mileage car. May be it is just me. I hope you have a good deal, it is all in the mind anyway.

Yup, the seats are definitely leather, the MB tex seats look like old W123 seats. Leather and ASD... which probably still works because it has so few miles. What a find!
