How much this car worth?
MERCEDES 300D LIMITED EDITION with VEGETABLE FUEL SYSTEM! By Greasecar
Car is nice but does not run, may or may not be WVO related. So refrain from making comments on alternate fuel. $1000 back DMV fee. I really cannot put a value on it except scrap value. What do you guys think? If it were you, how much money you would offer?

Option 1: Do not walk away from this car, run.
Option 2 (Assuming seller gets it running and registered): A few hundred over scrap value, unless that Greasecar system is two-tank, and you want to use it and have a ready supply of free/cheap oil.

greasecar is a reputable conversion kit. problem is the dewatering or lack thereof... likely the car needs clean fuel lines, and a replacement IP.
if he's asking 3K, I'd jump on the car like it is. kinda hard to figure out what he's asking for the car.

it's a 95!
all the latest options, leather seats, and the angle shown in the pic the seats look good. IDK, I think it's got some good value. even if it does have a wasted IP.

A back fee of $1000. It must have been sitting for a loong while and was not registered as no-op.
$3k + 1K DMV fee for a non running car with a questionable engine/IP. I am not so sure.

around here, the DMV fees do not transfer to new owners.
simple letter from a garage stating the car is under repairs would get the fees removed too. in NC that is... The left coast has different "it's not a tumor!" govment!

The car has not been registered for the last N years and you do not inform DMV that it is no-op. DMV in CA requires the new owner to pay back all yearly registration fees PLUS penalty. I think it may be possible to buy and register it out of state, say in AZ, and all back fee may be waived by AZ's DMV.
