SDL 300 needs home

Well unfortunately the #14 head has a crack between the valves on the #6 cylinder. I pulled the head and the block looks in good shape. I can see the original honeing marks in the cylinders and the engine did not use any oil when it was running. It did run great but water usage gradually got worse over time and it went bad enough that I could no longer drive it as the #6 cylinder would fill up with water over night.
The car is an 87 model and has no rust. It does have new tires, a new starter, and is otherwise in pretty good shape. Everything but the sun roof worked.
I'm hoping someone can use the car for parts or has the money to buy a reman head to fix it up. I just don't have the money myself to put into it.
It would be a shame for it to end up in the crusher.
I'm in Southern California. Make a reasonable offer and come get it.

Steve

I really have no history on the car other than I am the third owner. I will try to take some pics later this week. It has no rust and I have a few spare parts that I scrounged from pick & pull. I'm not looking to ask a lot but I did put new tires and a new starter on it within the last two months and my commute was only 14 miles a day total. It was my only transportation and now its needing a good home. I would like to get $500 for it just to try and recoup some of my money for the tires and starter.

Too bad you're 3000 miles away. This is just the kind of project car I like to play with. Good luck.
