om617 non-turbo vs. m110 starter motor

same part or different?

Different.
110 starter is smaller and has less power.

A turbo 617 starter will fit a NA 617.
Not sure that a 617 will even fit a 110.

oh it'd would bolt up, but it would burn out in very short order... nowhere near the power to spin 22:1 compression...

What about putting the diesel starter on the M110?

That should work.
But the Diesel starters have a 10mm stud to connect the battery cable.
On the gas starters it is 8mm.
The eye on the end of the battery cable may not fit.

... WHY would you put that monster in a 110? are you advancing the timing or higher compression? just have it lying around?
