Happiness is.....A NEW WINDSHIELD!

Because of a misdiagnosis by my indie (he was 90% sure my water leak was windshield related...but now it appears that it was sunroof water drains that were draining but only slowly), I unnecessarily bought a new windshield. But, MAN, is there ever a difference between 20 year old glass and new glass! Never realized how accustomed I'd grown to all the imperfections in the glass over the years.

So I guess I'll forgive my indie....

And go ahead...get that new windshield you've been craving.

Lol... It's on my list... My seal is dry rotted on both cars and the 300D has a lot of chips and a bullseye from some debris during Hurricane Katrina.

I know. My state is tough on windshields. My 300D got a new one in 2006 and it's already getting pitted.

I'm pretty sure mine is original. I wonder what new glass would be like.

That's awesome! I replaced mine this year before the seal got too far gone.

The difference really is amazing. The glare I was getting from all the pitting was obnoxious. Not to mention the windshield wiper scratches. It is amazing how many scratches a windshield picks up over time.

The biggest difference is in the rain at night. Much safer than before.

Planning on replacement as part of the repaint currently going on. Too many sand pits after 20 + years that I can't see while driving into the sun.
