300D, fuses EFGH and wipers have no power.

Happened today while driving. No seats, windows, wiper or rear def. Fuses looked ok (but old and need replacing). Must be something upstream from the fuse box I think.

Everything else works, lights, radio, acc, tach, turn signals etc.

Sugg?

Which car, the '85 or the '87?

If the '87, check Fuse 2. It powers relays that power fuses EFGH. If Fuse 2 blows, the relays won't work and fuses EFGH get no power. Take the fuse out and actually handle it, make sure it isn't cracked (almost invisible). Clean and replace.

Good one that.... I checked them earlier, most look like they could use replacing. I will replace #2.

Oh boy I have gremlins. Came out of work today and opened the unlocked door and the alarm starting flipping out. I pulled central locking fuse and was abke to drive home. Unfortunately I rotated fuse #2 per a PP suggestion (apparently it controls all the relays for all those fuses I said were dead), but I did so before checking to see if wipers etc were working. At any rate those are all working now

Now I have an alarm that wont go off.... Sigh.

Can't help with the alarm, mine was ripped out by a PO. It's wired into almost everything in the car, a real PITA when it won't work correctly.

When replacing fuses, use the copper/brass kind rather than aluminum. Not much difference in price and a lot better conductor, especially as they age.

I will try to track down the alarm issue this weekend. Today interior light is still flashing indicating light is still failing. I am going to test the microswitch and see if its faulty.

Odd that these issues would occur in series...

Ended up unhooking the alarm....
