300SDL part - have no clue what is - and unplugged

Hello Mercedes fans. Trying to figure out what this part is, and how it pluggs in. It is on the drivers side, close to front. Has red cap on it, and appears to be routed near AC. I have attached a picture. Please help. Thinking AC, but dont assume anything.

Thats the temp switch for the A/C condenser fan. Two leads that should plug in to the harness near there. This turns your condenser fan on at the proper temp for good cooling.

It's actually a high pressure switch on the Gen2 cars. But yes, the two spades should plug in to the harness coming off the switch.
