1983 TD Wagon

I have been looking for a while for another car and came across a 1983 TD wagon. It is listed on Craigslist in Columbia S.C.. I tryed to attach it but I was not able to. The owner said that it had a bad cv joint on drivers side and the SLS was not working. I have read that these cars sell for more than the SDs and the Ds sedans. I would appreciate it if some of you experts out there would take a look at the advertisement and post your comments, and suggestions. $1600.00 is what he told me was his bottom dollar. What are your thoughts and suggestions please. Thanks in acvance. Jack

If it looks as good or better in person, as it looks in the pics, and has nothing (major) wrong that the owner hasn't disclosed, then I would say go for it.

He has very complete pics and has admitted the SLS is non-functional. As long as you know what you are getting into, in the SLS department, that price seems reasonable to me if it's a rust-free example and shows no evidence of major water leakage.

It's a highly desirable colour combo, by the way.

By the way, the SLS system probably just needs accumulators.
