I'm eventually going to break down and purchase a 1/2" cordless impact. Probably a Dewalt because I've already got some batteries.

I have a cordless impact substitute. Commonly known as a 25" breaker bar. No batteries required. And it has never let me down.

be careful and watch for country of manufacture. LOTS of the high quality made in USA stuff (like ratchets) has been outsourced to China now.

Id go in person and select stuff where you can contrl the parts you select and get US made stuff.

Oh yea, that reminded me of something. You can sometimes find good Snap On tools at pawn shops.

The first one I bought did not work out, so I bought a second one which is holding up (after one use though). I agree that it's sturdier then a mityvac which is made from plastic.

For $100. I would look for a pressure bleeder. They do a much better job.

Scored a set of Matco(made in Taiwan ,better than china) t handle Allen's and torx for $50. Sold the torx for $50 and kept the Allen's. I'm always looking out for deals.

Garagejournal.com 's tool forum is addictive. I've bought a ton of tools since I joined but I've saved a lot of money in the process lol
