Thumbs up The Cross Country Crimson Cruiser has been sold! (Ok, orient red rider)

Well, I actually can't say I cruised in it, since it sat most of it's time here. but it has been bought by a knowledgeable young man in Illinois. Saved from the crusher is what makes me happy! Sorry to those of you who would have liked to have it, and I really appreciate your interest, but it's going just in the nick of time for my time schedule.

A guy named Dave Dechow, who lives up around Peoria, IL is buying it. He and his brother are Benz owners, and he already has an 84sd, he tells me. I am so happy to have a "good" owner for this car, I could ****. I believe he may be a Mercedesshop fellow already, but if he isn't, he knows about you all now. (I can't help but brag on all the folks and the help I get from this forum. Thanks, guys!) Anyway, I told him about the problems with the car, and then told him what advice I've gotten from all of you on the forum, and then threw in my 2 cents. He seems very happy to be getting it. I sold it for $550, and I'm having it carted 100 miles on my AAA, then he's going to take it from there. So, a happy ending (aside from losing money on it), and a great way to end the year, to boot! Thanks, again, for all of your ideas and, whether you know it or not, just the thought that somebody on this forum telling me that they would like to have it brought me out of the dumps when I didn't sell it the day I put it up for sale. And, if Andreas Schwarz out in Santa Barbara, CA is reading this, your sd is now in good hands and can look forward to a good life with a true Mercedes lover. I am one happy dude!
