sale on shop press at HF.com...

14 ton press
only 110.00 and 5.00 shipping...
I think every garage with an old car in it should have one of these...
mine is the smaller style with only one plate... there are a few links on the page for bearing separators and other versions of presses...
oh, there's only about 1.5 hours left on the 60% off sale there...

You can always check out Craigs List for "Hydraulic press". HF has these on sale quite often.

Wilson Tool 10 Ton Capacity Hydrualic Lab Press

And probably American made.

For those really stubborn Ball Joints.

40 Ton Carolina Hydraulic Press

Fot a few dollars more than the HF 12 ton press, here is a 20 ton for $200
20 Ton Hydraulic Press

And Iam 30 miles from Reno now, and my PU is 300 miles at home.

I want a 12 ton press for my Birthday. I plan to use it to

1) Slide the spiders (or is it spyders?) on and off axle shafts
2) Press wheel bearing races out and in again
3) simpler and quicker pressing in and out of bushings such as LCA busings
4) Seeing if I can use it to make complicated body panel shapes (repair pieces)

For the record - in case someone in particular is reading this! - I want the 12 ton press with the pressure gauge so I can tell roughly speaking how much ooomph I'm applying.
