How desirable is 87 300TD?

I don't much care for wagons. But I'd be happen to own one for a while then sell it....have an opportunity to get one with about 150K on it. My impression is that a lot of MB enthusiasts love them....so just wanting to confirm. Thanks for the feedback.

They're very desirable to me, and many others.

Buy it and drive it.. then sell it to someone here. Just keep it out of the hands of some ding dong that's going to destroy it. Or some hippy that's going to run WVO

Excellent....if I buy it, I'll do my best to keep it "in the family."

Diesel wagons are generally highly sought after. Those that like and want wagons, want them bad. I usually like the looks of wagons over sedans, not always but usually. If you get it at a good price it's pretty hard to go wrong with a wagon, you shouldn't have any problem selling it, assuming there is nothing terribly wrong with it. I'd say scoop it up, drive it a bit, clean it up a bit and sell it.

Then you can have a car in your signature that really has a T.

If you can buy it right and flip it, do it. I think the wagons are butt ugly, worse than a minivan, but they do have utility and a hugely loyal following.

123 Wagons are not a thing of beauty, but the 124 wagons can be set up in a gorgeous manner :-)

I generally park on the street in front of my house with the wagon... and when I come down the street in another car and see the rear end of my wagon... wow does it look good. Especially with the CLK's and wide tires.

There is normally something about the looks of a car I dont like, but I've yet to find anything about the looks of w124's I dont love.

W123's... I'll let the guy's who like them HAVE them. I do like w108's tho.

Definitely more complicated than the W123, but from the looks of your stable, it doesn't seem that would bother you..

Sounds like they're in demand, so that's great. I also worry about the color....the one I'm looking at is white on Artic blue. That would be a deterrent to me....but as long as it's not to prospective buyers, no matter.

Saw it this morning....too rough for my tastes....but it would make a good project car for someone with a better skill set.

168,000 miles, located in Rehoboth, MA. I know the guy will take 1500, probably less.
