I'm pretty sure that they are not. The '74 240D that I was originally looking at buying had had its radiator replaced, and the owner said he had a hard time locating one; he finally ended up pulling a used one from another W115.
Also, doesn't the W123 use a separate expansion tank?

Just check to see that it lines up with the same bolt holes. You can always add the separate overflow tank, if need be. You can also check the FM to see if the coolant capacities are the same.

Also, I would think it would be more important as to whether the 240D that you have is auto or manual ( I assume you're talking about the 4-spd that you got from TheDon???). Usually auto has coolant line to radiator, that would have to match. If it manual, I'd try whatever I could get my hands on, even if it comes out of a Chevy (don't laugh . . . I've done it to get home!!!). If it looks like a fit, mounts the same way, offers enough clearance for the fan . . . I'd say go for it!!!

They mount differently, W114/5 uses rubber donuts up top to hold it in, W123 uses clips to hold it in.

Thank you!
I had a request for a 115 rad and I don't have any. I was hoping they might interchange as I seem to have rads for 123 240s coming out of my ears!

Is it possible to retrofit the 115 to use the clips instead?
