I should have been more specific; I was speaking of Mercedes that use the Alternator Connector with 3 female terminals. I have no idea what might be on other vehicles.
I am going to go back and add that to my original post.

My Volvo has a VW Diesel Engine and it does not even have a Bosch Alternator; it is an SMC Alternator (I replaced it with a Delco).
