79 Euro 300D w/SLS?

I saw an ad for a euro delivery 300D and the picture of the engine compartment shows what looks like a sls reservoir in the forward driver side engine compartment.

Does this car have SLS or is that for something else?

I came across a early 123 sedan in the junkyard with SLS. It was an option in Europe.

Dang it. I don't need another car but with a 4-speed and SLS this one Sounds interesting for sure. Older couple moving to assisted living, etc.

I had a Euro 82 240D that had SLS also a manual 5 spd. The guy bought it cheap from the Salvation Army and didn't realize what he had.

Do you think having SLS adds much value?

I think it adds uniqueness to the car but I don't think it makes the value any higher.

Who might that be?

That 4 speed would fit nicely into your wagon!

I would like to have SLS on my 116. It was available on the 6.9 and would work with a diesel wagon pump...

The odd 300d or SD with four-wheel SLS does show up from time to time.

I would have a hard time imagining it ADDS value, outside of the serious collector community. However, I have seen one or two cars on eBay that came from serious Mercedes enthusiasts and they were pristine in every way.

They made more or less average money for their overall condition.

You're gonna try to have the same car as me again! First matching wagons, now matching sedans.

Cool! Does it have palamino or black interior. I've never seen another Caladonia green with black interior.

sls = self leveling suspension.

This system is most common on estates / wagons. It is a hydraulic system that raises or lowers the height of the rear suspension via special shock absorbers.
