Okay, haven't seen that locally. It's a Power Service product.

I keep some of the silver bottle stuff around for when I change fuel filters.

And yes, BioKleen is expensive whatever the brand. Over a dollar an ounce, that's a 16 oz. bottle.

If I ever suspect algea contamination I always drain and flush the tank.
I've never heard about a tank "flush", only seen folks removing the entire tank to clean or at least removing the in-tank screen. Can you tell me more about your method for flushing the tank?

How long have you used it? It doesn't work in one tank- it has to be used for for awhile to really clean out a bad fuel cell. It works just fine- I use it on the 1200 gallons in the boat I captain and it's far better than a biocide.

How long is a while? I've done about two tanks worth over a month.
Putting in the amount recommended on the bottle, ends up being about 5oz for an 18 gal tank.

That Starton is amazing. I used it and it killed all the growing gunk in my tank. I didn't even know I had growing stuff in there but after using it my moisture condensation problem went away. Plus my fuel turned black for awhile.

I have a real bad algae problem in one car. I spent $50 on that damn tank cleaner.
Does the diesel fuel additive really work that well?

I just followed the directions. Something like 1 oz per tank and I used it for 2 tanks. The bottle is clear and the fluid is blue I think. Some people recommend its use once per year.
