They're not fuses. They're specific branches of power distribution. I posted a screen capture where they're described a few days ago. It's a pdf named "power" if that helps your search. I'll see if I can find it later.
15 gets power with the ignition in RUN or START (and then that power flows through various fuses) 15X gets power in RUN (ditto). So things on the 15X circuit, like maybe the A/C blower or other high current devices, won't compete with the starter for electricity. |

My bad, I must have been sleepy. Yes if you can point me to the power PDF file be great. I don't get any voltage on F8 fuse (either side, with or w/o fuse in). Had a guy change my ignition switch, everything works except climate control, wondering if he connected the 15x wire, he had to do re-soldering of the new switch to the lines. thanks

Have you checked for the small matchbox sized holder and the strip fuse? Maybe on top of the left front fender or thereabouts? It's a relatively common mod to prevent melting F8. I don't know if in the retro-fit you actually disconnect the +12 side of the F8 in the fuse box. Soldering the ignition switch wires? Couldn't he unplug the connector? That might be bad. There's a lot of current flows through those wires. |
