Mystery trans Leak 1983 300D

Ok so I'm still having issues with a bleeding trans. I found the cause of my last leak to the tune of 4 qts and bad shifting before I noticed anything. (Darn Kids). The kick-down cable pooped out of the trans. That' been resolved but the trans is still leaking. The speedo cable looked fine and so does the kick-down cable. The car starts to leak after it sits for a day or 2. Any ideas of where to look? I'm going to look really close at the kickdown and speedo cables today.

Also the leak always appears to be on the PS but that might just be because of the crown in the road. (Street Curb side parking)

Thanks in advance.

The Dip Stick goes into the passanger side of the Transmission. It may be the O-ring needs to be replaced at the Base of the Dip Stick Tube.

One way to find a leake is to degrease the Transmission and after that simply look and see where the leak is coming from; this can also be done by running your Hand around areas that you cannot see. Watch out the Exhaust Pipe is on that side; let things cool off.

Also the Tubing that goes to the Transmission Cooler runs on the passanger side. The Clips that stead the Line often have the Rubber missing from them and the vibration against the Clips can cut a hole into the Lines.

Thanks for the tips I'll look again. Found a coolant leak and an Oil leak that were more pressing today since I need tog et the car to the car wash to De-grease.

I recall looking at the dipstick tube and it's all good as well. I'll double check everything. Thanks

If passenger side and toward the rear, it may be the secondary pump. It requires a couple of o-rings and is a pretty simple repair.
