So I'm doing some little stuff to bring the wagon out of storage for the summer. One of the things on my checklist is to delete that afterglow.
As stated, this is an aftermarket Bosch Fast Glow kit, NOT A NORMAL GLOW RELAY OEM BOX like most of you have as my car is a pre-1980. There are some install instructions on the link to Benz world but no mention of how an afterglow is hooked up. So can anyone help me out here? I'm looking to delete or at a minimum switch the afterglow.

Just an update for any future searches.
It appears I was able to delete the after glow. I'm not certain the wiring was hooked up per the diagram (seen in attached thread from Benzworld). The #3 wire fromt he glow plug relay pin (I believe the black wire) seemed to run to the starter. I had assumed this was to stop the relay when cranking began but I'm not sure this was the case. I simply cut this wire and the relay works as it should (originally on these cars). It glows with the turn of the key and appears to stop during cranking and does NOT come back on after it starts. Previously it stayed on for 3 minutes after the vehicle started. I will do some more monitoring of the situation before calling it a success.
