300sdl height

Good evening all,
I have a '87 SDL that I purchased in Nov. and I am trying to put a few personal touches on it. I want to try and lower the car. Any thoughts on the best way to do this? I have heard of some cutting springs. I can't find an aftermarket spring kit for the diesels.
Thanks in advance
