Seatback motor
Hi all,
I posted about this a while ago, but have been too busy to work on it much. I think I have isolated my seatback issue (seatback only goes forward, not back) to the motor. I disassembled the switch, it looked fine. I tested continuity on the wires along the entire power seat harness for the seatback switch, and they were fine. How do I go about testing the motor? If the motor was shot, could it work in only one direction? I have the seat out of the car, and the back removed. Thanks, Jack

This has happened to me a couple times, although its a much newer model. It has always been the switch, not the motor. If it works one way but not the other then you know the motors fine, the switches go out quite a bit though. If you jiggle the switch or push on it harder it will work, at least on mine.
