You got to see this to believe it
76 W115 240D with continental kit with buy it now at $6500! Ya man, were all coming down to get this one.
|
lol, where to start? :D
I actually kinda like the continental thing, though a little less gaudy and a little more classic looking, might look really good. Rims are way too new looking for the body. Interior looks comfortable, and looks like it was a time consuming job, but im not a fan of that material they used. should have been black and white two tone paint, not a rag top. Don't think that works on this car. Overall looks like a car where a lot has been done appearance wise to a particular taste, not a lot done in the engine bay, probably not that well in tune. Wrong battery for one. This looks like a 1000 dollar car that 8 thousand dollars of custom work was done, and the overall value of the car is still 1000-1500 bucks. what does he mean by "stern box"? the diff? the trunk? |

He doesn't show any paperwork, and doesn't mention it, so I get the impression there may not be complete paperwork. By these standards, my 1974 240D only has 60,000 miles on it. :D Also, I feel like the hood might be slightly tweaked, notice the big gap on the passenger side? |

That is one beautiful W115. For the buy it now price of $19,500, he should have pictures of the engine and the bottom side with it up on a hoist. Charlie |

Does that model have a hood catch on each side? maybe one is not latched? Charlie |

That interior does look rather comfortable. I wonder how much it cost to have it done up?

Looks like Olds 98 Regency Brougham influence there...... GAK!! |
Do all your MB's in the US have bumpers that could be mistaken for a bus stop seat?
|
from 1974 on, yup. They had to take a 5mph hit without damage to the bumper or the car. That was reduced to 2.5 mph in 1982.
