Glass sunroofs.
 

So I had found previous threads stating that it was a swap but would require the whole sunroof pan (from a w210). This weekend I found a C280 (not a w210) at the yard and popped out the sun roof panel. Sadly its too small for the w124. It is, however, a direct fit for the 190. I also found that the side mount bolts for the panel itself were a direct fit. Can't wait to find a W210 at the yard and see how it fits. Happy that its only the panel as the whole pan requires some mods on the visor header if it fits at all because the motor is up front instead of the trunk.

Makes me wonder if the same swap is possible for the W124/126?

I would love a w123 glass sunroof but I'm sure it's not something that would work.

So. Curvature of the roof is a wee bit different, and there is 1mm on each side and 2mm in front with 0mm in rear. The 124 rear curves up more in the rear and the 210 curves up a bit more in the middle. Also unlike the c280, the 210mount to the rails on the front by attaching to the sunroof on the side. I had to cut the sunroof rail in half. Also there needs to be some washers between the sunroof and the mounts.

I got it in under 2 hours but it is far from perfect so far. It does not go back more than a 1/4 of the way. I have yet to see what the hangup is. I will go back to the yard and look at the 210 seal, I have a feeling its "poofier". Of course my phone was about dead and couldnt take pics

Winmutt: Are you saying its a simple component swap from a 210 to a 201? That would be worth exploring.

I did a 210 to a 124. Curvature is different.

A 202 should fit the 201. It is more similar to that of the 190 and 126/240.
