76 300D Alternator belt stretched squeaks

Hello fellow diesel lovers (despite $4 gallon prices)

My 76 300d alternator belt has stretched. Went out to crank the car the other morning and nothing. Upon touching the belt it is loose. How and where do I tighten the belt. It is a new belt that was put on about 3 weeks ago. Any suggestions?

Id jump it and go back to the shop that installed the belt. Watch what he does and learn.

Low on the passenger side, front of the motor.

You probably have the star, or gear bolt.

Loosen the other bolts and turn the gear bolt. These things slip easily.
