123 tranny into 116?
I have a friend that just bought a 116 that needs a tranny. Well one from a 83 123 work? I'm not sure of the exact year, except it is the later 617 tranny. Thanks

hmm, what year is the w116? I believe the w116 uses the linkage controlled transmission. If I'm right tit means you'd need to swap over the vcv (vacuum) system as well as swap part of the throttle linkage to accept the bowden cable. Not a big deal if you have access to the entire car for the parts. As for actually physically mating it to the engine, it should bolt right up.
