Operation of central locking.

Hello guys. I have a question on the operation of the central locking system. Can someone explain on how this system works and the operation of it? I have a 1982 300td wagon and dont know how it works. I have tried to look in the owners manual with no luck. I can have the car running and push the driver side lock down and all the locks go down. When i go to unlock the driver side it is the only one that unlocks. I dont have a clue how it works thanks guys.

Vacuum.

The driver's door has an actuator that routes vacuum to one side or the other of actuators in the doors and the fuel filler flap. The trunk/hatch lock acts a bit differently depending on key position, see your manual.

You probably have a leak in the "unlock" side of the system. Plenty of threads on it.
