Cheap Wagon Alert: FL & TX
Was browsing through the copart website and found a couple nice wagons with "mechanical" issues.
Usually ones that won't start go for pretty cheap. These look to be in great shape so I thought I'd share them. I hope someone can snap them up. Looks like you'd probably have to go through a broker, and you also have to pay a couple hundred bucks in fees. But, these look like they should be worth that plus the high bid in parts alone An 87 w/ 125k miles: Copart And an 83 w/ Euro Headlights and Rear Headrests: Copart |
Wow. Thanks for sharing.
Anyone purchase through this operation before? |
Hehe, I actually bought a 300d from them and it ended up having a big hole in the engine block. I went and checked it out before and the glow plug light didn't come one so I figured that was the extent of the mechanical issue. (It's a 78 so it's got the loop-plugs)
Still worth it in the end, but definitely disappointing after I got it home. Paid less than $1000 including fees after I sold the Euro headlights ;) Only 150k miles on the chassis and in fantastic shape. It's waiting a motor swap now |
Dont know that I'd want to be a 1000$ deep in either of those wagons. Just not worth the risk for me given that they have a higher cost to my door.

Some people throw crazy money after the 87s. I rust free Texas car is even better yet. It would be worth any potential headache.

i think that's the rare henna interior in the 83. cherished, if in good shape.

On the '87 the odometer says 125,xxx, but the passenger seat says more. It looks like the driver's seat may have been replaced. The leather and netting on the back of the seat are in much better shape than the passenger seat.
The body looks good, but the pictures aren't the best so it's hared to tell for sure. |
