Where does the adhesive have to be used on the sedan doors? I recall on my coupe having a section where it was needed. I’m going to get started on my sedan some day... have the OE seals sitting in my basement waiting for some free time.

Adhesive (3M weatherstrip cement) should be applied wherever the rubber seals makes contact with the metal door. If I remember correctly, the seal slides into a channel on the bottom of the door.

For what it's worth, the original seal on the right rear door on my car had glue/cement on the lower half of the seal- glued up as far as the base of the window. I haven't done the seals on the other doors yet.
