there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

Wouldn't you want to be able to access the underside of the car on top in order to work on it? Maybe that's an option.

A friend at work was excited about buying a new house. Why, I asked him? Well, the 1200 square foot house he was considering came with a 2500 square foot shop building! He informed me that you can find 2 and 4 pole lifts on craigslist for as low as $3k. I didn't believe him, so I went on craigslist; dang, if he wasn't right.

This ultimate garage lift would never work around here, I think. At this time of year I think the water table is about 3 feet below the ground...

Kurt, that is what you get for living in a swamp. You need the lift to get your cars above the water.
