Glow plug relay and Window problems
Oh great and knowledgeable W126 Guru's i am having diesel issues. My Glow plugs just stopped working today and i dont think i know why. I have searched the forums here and havent found anything thats exactly like mine. The relay is not kicking on, i did the dome light check and listened and there is nothing happening. I checked all the glow plugs and got .9 ohms and every one so now issue there. I looked at the fuse strip and it looked fine, i read that they get hairline cracks so i hooked it back up and checked voltage on both sides, and i was getting 12.54 volts on both sides. Now when i unplug the glow plug switch i am getting like 11.5 volts to each of the pins on there so would that mean that the relay is not bad? I am stuck
The other issue is very weird as i have never seen something like it before. My windows work fine a little slow but fine after you hold down the window switch for about 5-6 minutes. After that it will roll down and you can use them normally for the rest of the car ride. If you dont hold it down its about 20-30 minutes before it will let you roll them down. You can turn the car off and back on a little while later. >1 hour and they will work fine. If you wait and let it cool down you need to repeat the process. Any thoughts on this? Thank you all very much for your help in advance. |
